Line Vreven is a Senior Consultant to MAK Advisors LLC specializing in developing business models for responding to global policy and regulatory reforms, with a special emphasis on health care. Ms. Vreven also is President of Line Vreven & Associates, an independent global consulting group that offers strategic advice and hands-on assistance for outreach, advocacy and policy reform.
Ms. Vreven has recognized expertise in creating strategic business plans, providing management consulting, designing advocacy campaigns, conducting government outreach and conflict resolution, and helping forge brand enhancement strategies and partnerships. She also has advised governments on improving international and trade relations.
Ms. Vreven most recently served as Vice President, International at AARP where she was responsible for domestic and global outreach. At AARP, Ms. Vreven organized and chaired various global conferences on domestic and international policy reform, including health care reform and prepared analyses and papers for US policy makers on various international best practices. Previously, Ms. Vreven served as Head of European Affairs and Associate Vice President at the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she was in charge of developing and implementing strategic plans, advocacy projects, legal actions, grassroots campaigns, as well as strategies for strengthening transatlantic relations. She also worked as a senior consultant for Stonebridge International, LLC where she developed strategic plans for US companies.
Prior to entering the private sector, Ms. Vreven completed a distinguished career as a top Belgian diplomat leading global negotiations in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. For her public service, she was awarded two Knighthoods and received service awards from the United Nations and Member countries.
Multicultural environments are second nature to Ms. Vreven and she is fluent in four European languages. Over the span of her career she has developed a significant, strategic network of US and international business and government contacts.
Mrs. Vreven received her J.D. in International Law and a Masters in International Legal Cooperation from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium.
